  • MINDSET – Dementia Support Course, every Tuesday for 10 weeks, from 18 August, 2.00 to 3.30 pm

    Upstairs at The George The George, Newnham on Severn, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom

    This course is suitable for anyone who has had a diagnosis of dementia in the last eighteen months and is run by a skilled and experienced therapist. Sessions will be held every Tuesday afternoon for ten weeks from 2.00 to 3.30 pm, starting on 10 August.

  • Ladies’ Ballroom & Latin Dance Fitness Class – 8-week course starting Tuesday 1 September, 9.00 to 10.30 am

    The Gloucestershire poet F.W. Harvey led the appreciation of the natural beauty of the Forest of Dean in the early twentieth century. Join us in Newnham to celebrate his legacy, with readings of his verse and of work by contemporary poets from The Forest of Dean.

  • INTERNAL VICTORIES: Bringing Classical Music to Prisons – Talk, film screening and Q&A with pianist Clare Hammond, Thursday 15 October, 7.30pm

    In May 2025, celebrated pianist Clare Hammond and composer Michael Betteridge ran a remarkable project at HMP Featherstone and HMP Oakwood in which participants co-created pieces for solo piano to reflect their experiences of prison. In this combined talk and film screening, Clare describes the project, its profound impact on those who took part, and its significance to her as a musician and performer.
