MEANDERING TRAILS – The Life of a Wildlife Camerawoman

September 26 @ 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Free

Justine Evans is an internationally known wildlife cinematographer with a career spanning more than three decades. Her work has been featured in many landmark film and TV series, including Planet Earth, Life and Frozen Planet and productions for Disney, National Geographic and Netflix. In this illustrated talk she reflects on encounters with creatures great and small, and on the meandering trails that have led her to some of the most remote and awe-inspiring landscapes on earth.

A top camerawoman in an industry heavily dominated by men, Justine’s fascination with wildlife goes back to early childhood when she roamed the local park at night looking for badgers and owls. As well as spending up to five months a year filming, she mentors young filmmakers and students on the National Film and Television School Science and Natural History MA course.
