Meet for the opening ceremony at Newnham riverbank from 5.30pm onwards, where you will be welcomed by giant puppets representing the Wye and the Severn. Sabrina, the Goddess of The Severn will perform a symbolic ceremony with waters ‘borrowed’ from the rivers, followed by songs and entertainment by The Climate Choir. Local samba band Forest Thump will lead a procession bearing the waters to The George with banners and flags for the official exhibition opening.
All welcome – admission free.
