Parking & Access
We want your visit to The George to be as enjoyable and trouble-free as possible. Here you can find information about the building and what to expect if you’re visiting for the first time. The George is an old building, but we have done our best to adapt it to current needs.
During the daytime, some parking spaces are usually available on the High Street. The nearest paid-for car park is in Station Road opposite the Railway Inn (see map above). Free car parking is available by the river – take the first left as you enter the village on the A48 and the car park entrance is on your left. From here it is a short but quite steep uphill walk to The George – not recommended if you have mobility problems.
