Join composer and performer Fiona Taylor and friends for an evening of music and song in celebration of the Wye and in protest at the polluted state of this beautiful river.
The Wye has inspired artists and writers through the ages. Drawing on sources from Wordsworth to contemporary local poet Jane Spray, Fiona Taylor has created a sequence of vocal and instrumental music that reflects the many faces of the Wye past and present.
Love Letter to The Wye was first performed in February this year at Broadwell Evergreen Hall and was an immediate hit with audience members (see below). For tonight’s performance Fiona is joined by singer and musician friends including Tracey Dixon, Nataley Freeman, Jules De Bharra, Mike Taylor and members of the group Minstrels of the Forest playing medieval instruments.
Please note that the venue for this event is The Armoury Hall, Dean Rd, Newnham, GL14 1AB. Bar, soft drinks and snacks available. Tickets, £10 per person bookable online. Advance booking is strongly recommended – seats are limited and availability of tickets on the night cannot be guaranteed.
