Often inspired by particular places, trumpeter Jim Howard’s music is a unique combination of acoustic and electronic sounds, with live processing and improvisation merging to create vibrant and haunting sound worlds. Playing with Jim tonight are Luigi Marino on percussion and Luke Annesley on sax.

Jim Howard
Since studying jazz at the Guildhall School of Music in the 1990s, Jim has worked with a wide variety of musicians, including Django Bates, Julian Arguelles, the London Jazz Orchestra and his own groups Forever Between and Moonscape. He also writes music for film and television, and his scores for dramas, documentaries and animations have been broadcast across the world. Jim lives in London with his wife and three daughters.
