Famed for his brilliant recreations of the haunting music of the Sixties and Seventies, the ever-popular Keith James is back with a homage to two of the outstanding singer-songwriters of the period, John Martyn and Nick Drake. Switching effortlesly between five differently tuned guitars, Keith James presents an immaculately crafted performance of timeless, cherished music and words that shed all the tears of time within their fragile lines.
‘Some of the most atmospheric and emotive music you will ever hear’ The Independent
‘A fresh and powerful approach to these wonderful songs’ Patrick Humphries, Nick Drake biographer
“An absolute must” Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio
Keith James has dedicated his entire working life to music, songwriting and poetry. As a performer, he has appeared in Denmark, Norway, Holland, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Ireland, the USA and Brazil as well as in almost every Arts Centre Theatre in the UK. From playing in wine bars in the late 1970s, where he discovered the ability to draw an audience into a song, Keith has developed and matured into one of Britain’s most trusted performers, building a devoted audience who appreciate the depth of understanding that comes from a lifetime of dedication and study. Keith’s talents as a musician have also been enriched by his work as a record producer, which has proved invaluable when producing his own albums.
