About In The Corner
Founded in 2022 by longtime cohorts Paul Jacobs and Steve Aspey, In The Corner (aka En El Rincón) started out as two recently geographically reunited DJs looking for an outlet to play the music they loved. Based in Cheltenham, the pair quickly established themselves as the go-to duo for non-mainstream funk, soul, reggae, afro and disco, whilst also leaning heavily on Latin, tropical and jazz sounds from across the decades.
Sadly, Steve Aspey lost a hard-fought battle with cancer in August, but Paul continues the ITC name in memory of his longtime associate and mentor, alongside mutual friends and collaborators.
