Join historian, archaeologist and BBC Coast presenter Professor Mark Horton as he reveals the ground-breaking discovery of a major new Viking fort on the banks of the Severn.

This is a Pay As You Feel Event, and donations towards our running costs are welcome. Bar and snacks available. Space is limited, so please book in advance using the ticket form below. Please feel free to use the lift to the first floor if you find the stairs difficult.

About Mark Horton
Currently Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, Mark Horton is a distinguished academic and a familiar face on programmes including Time Team for Channel 4 and the BBC series Coast. In his spare time he is a keen sailor and enjoys dinghy-sailing on the River Severn. He lives on the banks of the Severn in a sixteenth-century house believed to have been occupied by Sir Francis Drake.
