Above: Robert (‘Rabbie’) Burns (1759-96) was Scotland’s foremost poet and lyricist. A pioneer of the Romantic movement, he is widely regarded as the National Poet of Scotland and his birthday on the 25 January is celebrated all over the world.
Join us at The George for a very special celebration in honour of Scotland’s best-loved bard.
For this festive event, we’ll be offering a traditional Burns Night menu of Haggis, neaps and tatties as well as songs, poetry readings and musical performances in our upstairs gallery. We’ll also be running a well-stocked bar and raffling a bottle of top-notch Highland malt whisky – so don’t forget to bring cash to buy raffle tickets on the night!
