We’re really delighted to share with you that we now have a fully functioning lift from the ground floor to the gallery. The lift is situated in the Teal Room. We are so grateful to the Barnwood Trust for the generous grant we received from them enabling this fantastic improvement at The George by increasing accessibility to our spaces.
The Barnwood Trust is an ‘agent of social change’, working with disabled people and people with mental health conditions to change conditions that impact on them, using both the Trust’s financial and people resources to support that social change.
Chairperson Siobhan Smith said: “Thanks to the Barnwood Trust, many more people can now enjoy the increasing number of events, courses and exhibitions taking place in our beautiful gallery.”
