DESCRIPTION:Learn how to drive local climate action and inspire change in your community with this accredited course led by Emma Burlow of Lighthouse Sustainability. \nCourse Benefits\nYou will gain: \n\nUnderstanding of the science of climate change and how it impacts your community\nConfidence to talk about action on climate change within your community\nClarity on which actions have the greatest impact\nOpportunity to network with like-minded individuals within the community\nAccess to a digital platform with a suite of resources and further reading\nA personal commitment to action through community-based pledges\nCertification as a Carbon Literate individual.\n\nCourse delivery\nThe course takes place over three two-and-a half-hour interactive sessions including case studies and peer discussion\, supplemented by a couple of hours of self-study. At the end\, you complete your pledges to gain your individual Carbon Literate certification from the Carbon Literacy Project. \nPlease note: Booking is free but a donation of £40 per person is suggested to cover the cost of printed certificate and light evening meal. \nPlease book your place on the course using the form below.
